ABSTRACT:

Copper nanoparticles (CuNPs) were synthesized in aqueous solution by bioreduction process. The various plant and microbes were screened for the CuNPs synthesis. The influence of various parameters on the size and shape of nanoparticles were studied in detail. The synthesized copper nanoparticles were characterized by UV-Vis spectroscopy, zetasizer, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and FTIR spectroscopy. The synthesized nanoparticles were found in the range of 100-150 nm. The nanoparticles were evaluated as antibacterial agent and exhibited minimum inhibitory activity at 20 µg/ml concentration.
